I made this truck the other night and in the interest of posting things on my blog, I thought I would share it with everyone today. The body of the truck is made from a
Ramshackle Games Truck and I used a very large prescription bottle to make the fuel tank. Added a few bits of thin card stock to make some securing bands and to cover up all the molded details on the bottom of the bottle, and the next thing you know I have a pretty good looking fuel tanker for my games of Nuclear Renaissance.

I've already got this one primed but I haven't laid a brush on it yet, how would y'all like to see it painted? Put your ideas in the comments section and you might get to see it finished by the end of the week. Thanks for reading and stay thirsty.
It looks pretty good, but i think the slots in the cap need to be filled in and some rivets added on the end where it says walmart. As far as painting, I would make the tank a light color or metallic.
ReplyDeleteI actually liked the indents on the cap, but the idea about it being a light color might work, light colors definitely show grime better.

DeleteKnowing you, the stop sign will say "Don't" right above stop. You haven't done anything in yellow, and a faded yellow with a red stop sign up front would pop.
ReplyDeleteIf i may suggest a scenario for future thought. this things in the center of the table. The gangs deploy in the table corners. every turn roll for each vehicle if it moves. on a "10" the thing runs out of gas. The total objective for the mission is to drive the fuel truck and all of your own vehicles off the table. Its a 1 action to get fuel from the tanker and to put it into your vehicles. Just a thought!
